For more than 25 years, Greater Bank have funded talented regional athletes within the Hunter Academy of Sport’s (HAS) Netball program, helping them gain training and advice of a world-class standard without moving too far from home.

Over the next three years, Greater Bank will be the official major sponsor of three Academy programs for Western Region, Central Coast and Hunter, as well as the Your Local Club Academy Games Netball Tournament to be held in the Hunter, the Academy Challenge to be held in Orange, and the Hunter Academy of Sport’s community event, SportsFest.

Hundreds of young athletes have attended HAS, and as a result have taken part in sports talent development programs, training camps, clinics, education sessions and national congresses.

Each month during 2019, Greater Bank will be giving one lucky HAS netball player the status of ‘Netballer of the Month’. The lucky athlete will receive a $50 voucher to top up their Life Saver account with Greater Bank.

The following HAS athletes have been named as 2019 Greater Bank Netballers of the Month so far: Maddison Mueller and Savannah Angelozzi (April), Grace Cook (March) and Summah Johnson (February).

These athletes were recognised for their ongoing commitment, performance and enthusiasm in both training sessions and at the recent Your Local Club Academy Games tournament.

Hunter Academy of Sport and Greater Bank are thrilled to be able to assist in developing the girls’ financial literacy skills and helping them to work towards their financial as well as sporting goals.
